Birds are integral to our ecosystem, playing key roles in a variety of natural processes such as seed dispersal, predation, pollination, scavenging and ecosystem engineering.  Nevertheless, they have been facing threats to their survival globally. Please join us as we sing their praises in our exquisite bird-centric program.

Our program includes original compositions (and covers!) with lyrics written by local and internationally known writers and poets including Elizabeth Herron, Kathleen Lynch, Naomi Shihab Nye, Larry Robinson, William Stafford and Terry Tempest Williams.

Meet the birds: Concerts at the Laguna Environmental Center provide an opportunity to learn new facts about our native birds in the beautiful setting of the Laguna, in the company of Ambassador birds and their devoted, informative handlers from the Bird Rescue Center. Matinee ticket holders will be able to meet the birds after the concert, from 3:00 to 3:30. Evening attendees can meet the birds from 4:15 to 4:45 prior to the concert at 5:00.
